A lifelong entrepreneur, Allen Davis brings a wealth of wisdom and business experience to his financial planning practice. Over the course of 35 years, Allen has started businesses in several fields, including founding and raising over $15 million of venture capital for a technology start-up.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™, Allen helps his clients maximize their choices and achieve financial independence. He works with clients at all stages of their lives, but specializes in income and estate planning for clients who are either close to retirement, or already there. An area of deep interest is what he calls “multi-generational financial planning” – helping families understand, grow, protect, value and share their wealth as well as their financial knowledge through the generations. Allen also works with business owners, and helps them integrate their personal planning with the needs of their companies to develop specialized retirement plans, executive benefits programs and business succession plans.
Allen approaches every case with enthusiasm and a sincere desire to “do the right thing” – a trait he has demonstrated consistently throughout his life. He is a big believer in lifetime learning, and continues to stretch his knowledge in order to help clients navigate the always changing financial and tax landscape.
He is a passionate musician (double bass and piano), and is active in a number of community organizations, including Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts, the Lander Grinspoon Academy in Northampton, and Mak’hela, the Jewish Chorus of Western Massachusetts, which he founded in 2003. He has been married for 43 years, has two sons and two grandchildren over whom he dotes unconscionably!
