Sheryl WuDunnSheryl WuDunn is the first Asian-American Pulitzer Prize winner, New York Times journalist, and co-author of the upcoming book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, which was released September 2009. She will give an inspirational speech during lunch, have a brief Q&A and book signing following her talk.

General Conference Information: The Taste of Philanthropy 2010 conference is expected to bring together over 300 nonprofit leaders, consultants and foundations.

Morning workshops on all aspects of fundraising --from planned giving/major gifts, to corporate/foundation giving, marketing and stewardship -- will be available. In the afternoon, after hearing Sheryl WuDunn's inspirational talk, we'll all come together to focus on building our skills for making the all important ASK!

Who should attend?  You! Whether you are a passionate volunteer, a dedicated non-profit employee, or a student looking to learn more about the business of philanthropy, our conference has something for you. Conference Rates:

Regular Registration Walk-ins Welcome $110 for WiP Members and members of our sponsorship organizations $149 for non-members
Lunch Only  Walk-ins Welcome $40 for all attendees

Conference Scholarships: A limited number of scholarships are available to people working for an agency/organization with an annual operating budget of $250,000 or less or to people who worked in the non-profit field or are interested in the non-profit field but who are currently unemployed. The deadline for application was February 16th. Selected recipients will be notified on February 23rd.
